Q: Are fillers reversible?

A: Yes - I can use Hyaluronidase to dissolve the filler.

Q: Can I get fillers whilst I’m pregnant?

A: I cannot do treatments on pregnant or breastfeeding women. I also would not do treatments on people with skin disorders.

Q: What should I avoid after having lip fillers?

Q: How long do lip fillers last?

A: It varies for different people and is dependent upon product; however, lip fillers can last from 6- 15 months.

Q: Will there be bruising with lip fillers?

A: Their may be minimal bruising which will die down within 2 weeks following the treatment. However, everyone is different and some mature skin can bruise more easily.

Q: How far in advance would I need to get fillers before a special event - holiday, wedding etc?

A: Typically 3 weeks is sufficient to allow for any swelling and potential bruising to subside following fillers.

Q: Will there be any pain whilst getting fillers?

A: The pain is minimal as the fillers used contain Lidocaine, a numbing agent which helps minimise the sensation. Before the treatment I also apply a topical numbing cream.

Q: After the lip treatment, my lips feel sore and tender. Is this normal?

A: Yes, expect a minor gradual volume loss over a couple of days as the initial swelling resolves, and expect a bit of soreness. You might even have a few red dots that will also fade/ disappear over a few days (entry points for the needle).

Q: Do I need to drink more water after receiving fillers?

A: Dermal filler relies on drawing water to the treated cells; so stay hydrated. The more water in your body, the better the potential results.

Q: What is Hyaluronic acid?

A: Hyaluronic acid is a super gentle molecule that helps your skin retain water. It’s produced naturally by your skin cells and acts like a sponge that soaks up and locks in skin moisture. It’s basically a tall glass of water for your skin – one molecule can hold up to 1,000 times its own weight in water.
